Roger Dubuis Watches – Swiss High End Watches for Men and Women
Running on the notion that watches can be exciting, beautiful and fully functional, Roger Dubuis watches are more than capable of setting themselves apart from the rest by following this simple approach.
Roger Dubuis, as a company, has been enriched with incredible amounts of success. Compared to other Swiss companies, they don’t have the kind of history that dates back as long as those of their greatest competitors. But having only been founded in 1995, the company has reached great heights and become a reputable manufacturer in the industry.
To achieve their goals, the company places much of their energy on avant-garde design as well as the finer details of watchmaking. The team has in many ways become regarded as not just manufacturers of watches, but as architects of superb timekeeping pieces.
Daring to be different and embracing new ways of making watches and designing intriguing watch styles, Roger Dubuis is an innovator of note. Their watches are made for those who wish express themselves through a new accessory.
When its doors opened in 1995, Roger Dubuis was an underdog in a world of well-established luxury brands. Soon after the company was founded, they set to work in launching their very first collection. By 1999, they had moved on from just making watches to focusing on the creation of their first in-house movements, which quickly gained the stamp of approval of Poinçon de Genève.
In 2001, the new official headquarters of the company were built in the heart of the watchmaking capital of Geneva. The eye catching design includes glass walls which reflect the work being done inside, and a striking exterior.
From 2003 to 2005, the company worked on numerous projects concerning the delicate inner workings of the watches. During this time, the first in-house sprung balance was designed, while the company also launched a few more watch collections, the most iconic of which is the Excalibur. Alongside the launch of this collection, the company also developed and unleashed 2 new calibres; the double tourbillion skeleton and the minute repeater tourbillion.
By 2008, just over a decade after opening, the company joined the Richemont group, selling off 60% of the company to the group. In 2016, the Richemont group bought the final 40% of Roger Dubuis.
