A complications watch that's annual calendar shows the month, day and date in 3 separate windows arranged according to the American date format. The mechanism takes each month's length into consideration and only needs correction once a year at the end of February. On the signature slate coulered dial we have hour and minutes with 2 smaller dials indicating seconds and the power reserve, now for a watch with such an complication like an annual calendar which is energy crazy, IWC's in house calibre 52850 has 2 barrels to provide enough torque to drive the date discs and supply an incredible 7 days power reserve when fully wound. This is all beautifully displayed through the sapphire caseback with 326 components and 36 jewels. The stainless steel case is 46.2mm and 15.3mm thick with the famous oversized screw in crown. A nice thick brown calfskin strap makes this watch a pleasure to wear.
